Both Canadian and American officials are confident the U.S. border will reopen to shipments of Canadian cattle despite a possible new mad cow case in Alberta. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) said the United States Department of Agriculture knew about the tests on an Alberta dairy cow before American officials announced Wednesday the border would reopen to live cattle shipments from Canada on March 7.
