DRESDEN -- Descendants of a fugitive slave yesterday applauded the Ontario government for promising to put more money into Uncle Tom's Cabin and promote it as an international tourism site. Five direct descendants of Rev. Josiah Henson were part of a crowd of more than 100 people who attended a ceremony yesterday in which the Ontario government turned over ownership of the historic site to the Ontario Heritage Foundation, an agency of the Ministry of Culture.
