Marking the end of their 10th anniversary season, the Karen Schuessler Singers are performing a benefit for a London-region charity. The concert choir performs Saturday at 8 p.m. at its home base -- Wesley-Knox United Church in Wortley Village -- in support of the Wellspring London and Region cancer support centre.
"The community has given the choir so much in terms of support and encouragement in the past. We want to give something back to the community," choir director Karen Ann Schuessler says. "Wellspring is a deeply important organization that reaches out to as many people as it can whose lives are affected by cancer. Wellspring contributes to the community constantly and we want to help this organization in its efforts to do its vital and necessary work."
Wellspring London and Region provides non-medical programs and information to help people with all types of cancer and their loved ones. All programs and services are free and professionally run.
Wellspring's London office is at 231 Hyman St. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors/students. Call 438-7379.
