Sunday events celebrate summer

Old-fashioned church service Colborne Street United Church is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year with different events each month. Today, there will be an old-fashioned church service at 10:30 a.m., with a strawberry social following.

St. Jean Baptiste celebration

St. Jean Baptiste Day will take place today at Fanshawe Pioneer Village, beginning at noon with a French language mass, tours and activities in both French and English. A treasure hunt, French cuisine and local performers are also part of the celebration. It goes until 9 p.m. Standard admission applies.

Wheaton terrier walk

A casual walk in the park for people with Wheaton terriers will be held today at 10 a.m. in Springbank Park. Meet at the A&P plaza in Byron. For rain date information, call 686-6151.

Curnoe film screening

Today at 2 p.m. Museum London will hold special screenings of the film Greg Curnoe and guided tours of the exhibition Greg Curnoe: Life & Stuff. The program and tours are free.

Port Stanley home tour

The YWCA tour of five unique homes will take place today from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in Port Stanley. Tickets are $20. Call 631-9800 or 782-9962.

Comedic theatre

The Or Shalom Theatre Troupe will present the comedy Village of Idiots today till June 26 at 2 p.m. and June 29 at 2 and 8 p.m. at the Theatre School, 140 Ann St. Tickets are $15. Call 438-3081.

Blenheim garden tour

The Blenheim-Harwich Horticultural Society's 11th annual garden tour with herbal refreshments and garden art will take place today from noon to 5 p.m. Tickets are $7 and can be obtained in front of the municipal building in Blenheim. For information, call 676-4120 or 676-8878.

Croquet tournament finals

Croquet Canada's annual CroqCan tournament with players from around the world, finishes today at the Belvoir estate, Delaware.

James Cummins trio performs

The James Cummins Acoustic Trio, featuring banjo, guitar, mandolin and bass, will perform today at 2 p.m. at the Ugly Mug Cafe, 256 Dundas St.

Art in the Park

London's Art in the Park program continues Sundays, weather permitting, in Springbank Park from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. New artists are welcome and can call 471-8608 for information.

- The Wallaceburg and District Museum Pond/Garden Tour will take place June 29 from noon- 5 p.m. There will be seven to eight ponds/gardens and a lemonade stop. Tickets are $5 and available from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the museum the day of the tour. For more information, call 627-8962.

- Croquet can be played Sundays in July and August from 1-4 p.m. at Eldon House. The summer tradition of Sunday tea at Eldon House starts June 29. Croquet is free, but tea is $6 a person.
