THE PLAY: The Hand That Cradles The Rock, by Warren Graves; a Clinton Community Players production directed by Jean Lubbers; featuring Elizabeth Thorpe-Hearn, Ron Plasschaert, Linda Hearn, Deb Cosford, Gary Coursey. THE PLOT: When his wife Alexandra is in demand as an interior designer, Ross agrees to stay home and raise their baby. He confronts challenges -- an erratic washing machine, baby formula problems and a meddling mother-in-law -- that bring on housewife syndrome and has Ross fearing for his masculinity.
