Wolski named OHL Player of the Week
Toronto - The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Wojtek Wolski
of the Brampton Battalion is the OHL Player of the Week for the week
ending Sunday February 19 after scoring five goals and nine points in
three road games last week.
Wolski opened the week with a goal and an assist in a 5-2 loss to the
Windsor Spitfires on February 16. He scored a hat trick and was the
first star in a 4-3 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds on February
17 and finished the week with a goal and three assists in a 4-2 win over
the Sudbury Wolves on February 19.
Wolski, a 19-year-old native of Mississauga, leads the Battalion with 34
goals and 54 assists for 88 points in 44 games this season. He holds the
franchise's all-time scoring record and needs just three points to tie
Raffi Torres' single-season team record of 91 points set in 1999-00.
