OHL Announces Support of Hurricane Katrina Recovery
Toronto - The Ontario Hockey League today announced that in recognition
of the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina near the Gulf Coast, the
League will support the recovery initiatives by working together to
provide a donation to the Red Cross.
All teams in the OHL will host a special fund raising event in their
season-opening home game or soon thereafter with the proceeds going to
the Hurricane Relief Fund.
Additional details with respect to this fund raising effort will be
released in the upcoming weeks.
