TORONTO - Ted Baker, Referee-in-Chief of the Ontario Hockey League, today announced the League's Officiating Team for the 2005-06 playing season.

The League had previously announced that up to 50% of regular season games and 100% of playoff games would be officiated by the two-referee system and as such, the League=s referee staff has increased to 26 and the lines staff to 48.

"The implementation of the two-referee system to support the New Standard of Enforcement of the existing Playing Rules has resulted in an increase to the number of officials required on our Officiating Team", stated Baker.

Returning to the refereeing staff this season after an absence of one year are veterans Scott Hutchinson and Steve Webb. In addition, six new referees have been added to the staff this season including Mike Bolibruck, Chris Hodgins, Brent Holdsworth, Marty Kirwan, Dave Koziel and Darren Price. Bolibruck, Hodgins, Holdsworth and Price all were assigned as linesmen to officiate in the 2005 Memorial Cup in London.

New to the team of linesmen are Sean Bernard (Toronto), Patrick Brown (Kingston), David Gauthier (Oshawa), Raymond King (Erie), Mike Michalski (Komoka), Kendrick Nicholson (Sauble Beach) , Frank Rocca (Bolton), Paul Santi (Richmond Hill), Tim Steen (Guelph), Matthew Traub (Thornhill) and Darryl Wolfe (Grimsby).
