Rob Schremp Named OHL Player of the Week
Toronto - The Ontario Hockey League announced today that London Knights forward Rob Schremp is the OHL Player of the Week.
Schremp, 19, recorded seven goals and 11 assists in three wins last week to help increase the Knights winning streak to seven games. Schremp had two goals and two assists in a 7-3 win in Brampton on Thursday night. Friday, Schremp tallied a hat-trick and added three assists in an 11-2 win over Windsor. Yesterday, Schremp had two goals and six assists in a 14-6 victory over the Toronto St. Michael's Majors. Schremp has contributed at least three points in each of the six games he has played this season and has now scored in five consecutive games. Schremp was also named the First Star in each of the three victories last week.
Schremp, selected 25th overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft was a late cut by the Oilers this fall. Since his return Schremp has climbed to 2nd in the OHL scoring race with 10 goals and 28 points, seven behind teammate Dave Bolland.
