OHL performers of the month

Toronto - The Ontario Hockey League today announced the OHL Performers of the Month for November.

OHL Player of the Month - Bobby Ryan, Owen Sound Attack

Ryan was the top scorer in the OHL in November with 11 goals and 15 assists for 26 points in 12 games. He also had a plus-7 plus-minus rating and helped the Attack to an 8-3-1-0 record during the month of November. Ryan, the second overall pick of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks in the NHL Draft last July, is third in the OHL scoring race this season with 19 goals and 63 points in 27 games. He recorded points in 10 of 12 games last month, including a five-point effort against the Saginaw Spirit on Nov. 26.

OHL Rookie of the Month - Sergei Kostitsyn, London Knights

Kostitsyn scored four goals and eight assists for 12 points in 10 games with the Knights in November. He started the month with a two-goal game against the Windsor Spitfires on November 4 and had a three-assist effort against the Erie Otters on November 11. Kostitsyn is the OHL's top scoring rookie with 16 goals and 28 assists for 44 points in 27 games this season.

Defenceman of the Month - Jakub Kindl, Kitchener Rangers

Kindl was the top scoring defenceman in the OHL in November with three goals and 13 assists for 16 points in 11 games. He also carried a plus-2 plus-minus rating through the month and helped the Rangers to an 8-3-0-0 record. Kindl had six multiple-point games last month, including a goal and three assists against the Sarnia Sting on November 19.

Goaltender of the Month - Adam Dennis, London Knights

Dennis put together an 8-0-0-2 record in 10 starts last month. He allowed two or fewer goals seven times, including wins against the Erie Otters on November 11 and the Saginaw Spirit on November 23, which he allowed just one goal in each game. Dennis has a league-leading 20-1-0-2 record this season, along with a 2.79 goals against average and .918 save percentage.
