James Neal named OHL Player of the Week
Toronto - The Ontario Hockey League today announced that James Neal of
the Plymouth Whalers is the OHL Player of the Week for the week ending
Sunday December 11 after scoring a goal and five assists for six points
in two games.
Neal scored a goal and two assists and was the first star in Plymouth's
6-3 win over the Sarnia Sting on December 8 and then assisted on three
goals in their 6-3 win over the Owen Sound Attack on December 12.
The 18-year-old native of Whitby has 11 goals and 24 assists for 35
points in 30 games this season. The two win week helped the Plymouth
Whalers move into a tie with the Saginaw Spirit for first place in the
OHL's West Division.
