Tree to honour Owen Hart

Thousands of new trees will be planted Sunday as 10,000 Calgarians
are expected to gather to remember their deceased loved ones.
And Martha Hart, the widow of wrestler Owen Hart, will be one of the
speakers at Fish Creek Park during the fourth annual Memorial Forest
Dedication.
"It's really a privilege to be there," Hart said, adding she'll select a
tree for Owen, who died during a wrestling stunt May 23 in Kansas City.
"Martha knows how to speak to an audience and she's someone who has been
through a real tragedy," said Ernie Hagel, president of McInnis and Holloway,
the company which provides the trees as part of its funeral services.
Also scheduled to speak is Jan Geggie, whose husband, Dr. Peter Geggie, was
only 56 when he died of a pulmonary embolism last month.
Shuttle buses have been arranged to bring people from the Anderson LRT
Station to and from Fish Creek Park.
Tree selection begins at 1 p.m., with the dedication ceremony and speakers
at 2:30 p.m. Trees selected Sunday will be planted in Fish Creek Park. in
June.
