Suspension imposed to Vincent Zaore-Vanie of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles
BOUCHERVILLE - Vincent Zaore-Vanie of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles received a five games suspension imposed by the Prefect of Discipline of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Mr Maurice Filion.
The Screaming Eagles number 13 kneeing Alexandre Picard of the Lewiston MAINEiacs. Mr Filion has rendered is decision after he reviewed the videotape of the game and after he acknowledged that the dangerous gesture could have caused an harmful injury.
The incident occurred in the March 4 game, the 506. The MAINEiacs were visiting the Screaming Eagles.
This suspension comes into full force today, Tuesday March 8, 2005.
Accordingly to the QMJHL policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, Mr Filion will not be available for further comments.
