Cacciotti inherits four-game suspension
BOUCHERVILLE, Wednesday, November 28, 2007 – The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's disciplinary committee today imposed a four-game suspension to Drummondville Voltigeurs forward Steven Cacciotti. The suspension follows an incident that occurred during last Sunday’s game against the Chicoutimi Saguenéens in which Cacciotti checked an opponent from behind.
The decision was rendered after reviewing the videotape of the incident and consulting all concerned parties. The suspension is in effect as of today.
In accordance with the QMJHL policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the disciplinary committee will not be available for further comment.
