Jimmy Van Ostrand had a choice to make.
As one of the top-ranked badminton players in British Columbia and a double gold medallist at the Junior Pan Am Games, he made the right choice.
Van Ostrand headed to Alan Hancock College in the fall of 2002, through a connection between Ari Mellios, coach of the North Delta Blue Jays, and Bob Fystro (Edmonton, Alta.) a coach at Hancock.
