Friday, December 19, 1997 U.S. Olympic biathlon trials moved to VermontLITTLE FALLS, Minn. (AP) -- Poor snow conditions and unseasonably warm weather have forced the U.S. Olympic Biathlon trials to be moved from Minnesota to Vermont.The trials were to take place at Camp Ripley in central innesota on Dec. 29-30 and Jan. 2-3. The U.S. Biathlon Association said Friday that it decided late Thursday to move the event, which combines skiing and rifle marksmanship. It will now take place at the Ethan Allen Firing Range in Jericho, Vt. The schedule for the four races will be announced next week. |
