Kwan and Eldredge win titles
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Michelle Kwan and Todd Eldredge each earned perfect 6.0 presentation marks on their free skates Sunday night to win titles at the Keri Lotion Figure Skating Classic.Kwan, the world champion and 1998 Olympic silver medallist, earned two perfect marks.
"They're great," Kwan said of the scores. "You can't get much better than that."
Angela Nikodinov was second in the women's competition. Russia's Maria Butyrskaya finished third and Surya Bonaly of France wound up fourth. Elizabeth Manley of Ottawa was sixth.
Eldredge, the 1998 world championships runner-up, received one 6.0 mark.
"For me, that's really my first one (6.0 mark) in a legitimate competition," Eldredge said. "It's a good start to the year."
American Michael Weiss finished second, followed by Ukraine's Viktor Petrenko and Olympic champion Ilia Kulik.
