Enbridge to be Presenting Sponsor for the 2002 Vanier Cup
Toronto, ON - The Vanier Cup Organizing Committee is pleased to announce that Enbridge will be the Presenting Sponsor for Canada's University football Championship, to be held on Saturday, November 23, 2002 at Toronto's SkyDome.
Enbridge will also be title sponsor of the All-Canadian Awards Banquet, which recognizes excellence in university football across Canada. The Enbridge All-Canadian Awards Banquet will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2002 in Toronto.
"Enbridge's sponsorship has been one of the driving forces of the Vanier Cup's recent success in the Canadian sports marketplace," said Mike McKenna, Vanier Cup Event Director. "Sponsorships such as this are vital to the long-term success of university sport in Canada."
As part of its sponsorship, Enbridge is also a key promotional partner of the event. For the third consecutive year Enbridge is offering a special Vanier Cup ticket promotion to more than one million customers in the months leading up to the Championship. One dollar from each ticket sold through this special promotion will be donated to United Way of Greater Toronto.
