    Vampeta arrives in Italy

MILAN, Italy (AP) -- Brazilian international midfielder Vampeta arrived in Milan on Wednesday to sign a four year contract with high-spending Italian Serie A club Internazionale.

Inter officials said the signing of the contract will take place Thursday but added all financial details already have been agreed.

According to published reports in Italy, Vampeta, a regular member of the Brazilian national team, will get 4 billion lire ($2.95 million Cdn) a year while Corinthians would receive a transfer fee of 30 billion lire ($22.1 million).

Vampeta landed at Milan's international airport of Malpensa and was expected to be at San Siro stadium to watch a Champions League qualifying match between Inter and Sweden's Helsingborg.

According to Italian sports dailies Vampeta's transfer to Inter was supported by Ronaldo, the long-injured Brazilian striker of the Milan team.
