Dos Santos scores three as Toronto beats Montreal 4-0 in A-League soccer
TORONTO (CP) -- Francisco Dos Santos scored three goals to power the Toronto Lynx to a 4-0 victory over the Montreal Impact in A-League soccer action Sunday night.Aaron Benjamin also scored for Toronto (6-0-1), which has won six in a row.
Montreal dominated the opening half, but Dos Santos scored his fourth goal of the season in the 45th minute on a header off a free kick by Nikola Vignjevic.
The Brazilian added his second of the game in the 61st minute off a pass from Lyndon Hooper and made it 3-0 seven minutes later off a pass from Juan Arango.
Benjamin added the fourth goal in the closing minutes.
Goalkeeper Theo Zagar got the shutout and has given up just three goals in seven games.
