Men's under-20 soccer team beats Inter Milan under-21
TORONTO (CP) -- Ian Hume scored two goals to pace the Canadian under-20 men's soccer squad to a 4-1 victory Sunday over Italy's Inter Milan under-21 team.Justin Thompson and Chris Pozniak also scored for the Canadians, who are in a two-week training camp. Canada also plays Guatemala's under-20 team later this week.
"It was a terrific performance and a great result," said Canadian head coach Paul James. "Victor Oppong and Ian Hume had very strong games but I was pleased with the whole team.
"This is a great build-up for the Guatemala matches."
