Friday, June 2, 2000U.S. women to face CanadaCHICAGO (AP) -- The U.S. women's soccer team will play exhibition games against Canada, Russia and Brazil to tune up for the Sydney Olympics.The defending Olympic and World Cup champions will face Russia at the Navy-Marine Corp Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Md., on Aug. 13, and Canada at Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium on Aug. 20. On Friday, the U.S. defeated Canada 9-1 in the Pacific Cup tournament. The game against Brazil, which lost to the Americans in last year's World Cup semifinals, will be in California during the first weekend in September. The time and place remains to be decided, the U.S. Soccer Federation said Friday.
