    TSN, CFMT Take world stage

By ROB LONGLEY -- Toronto Sun
All the World Cup is a stage for TSN and multi-lingual station CFMT for the next month.
TSN plans to carry every World Cup match -- in English -- while CFMT will carry all but a few first-round matches in a variety of languages other than English (see chart at right). The majority of TSN's telecasts will be live, while all CFMT broadcasts will be live.
"The World Cup ranks as the top event in TSN's summer calender," said TSN president Rick Brace.
TSN is helped by the late morning and early afternoon start times of games because of the time difference in France. That means baseball and other prime-time coverage will not be interrupted.
TSN's Mr. Soccer, Graham Leggat,, will join reporters Gord Miller and Paul Romanuk to file reports from the 10 venues in France where games will be held, while Vic Rauter will anchor the studio show in Toronto with analyst Dick Howard.
TSN will have a half-hour replay show each evening throughout the tourney. Most mornings, there will also be a pre-game show previewing the day's action.
