Edmundo has sights set on World Cup
FLORENCE, Italy (AP) -- Edmundo has returned to Florence, with an eye to France.The fiery Brazilian arrived in the city today, one month after walking out on Serie A club Fiorentina in a dispute over playing time.
"I want to return to practice and have the chance to play. If (coach Alberto) Malesani tells me to go on the bench, I'll accept that," Edmundo said.
He is battling other forwards for a reserve spot on defending champion Brazil's 22-man roster for France '98.
