PHOENIX (Ticker) -- The Tampa Bay Devil Rays go for their 
team-record 11th straight victory Sunday afternoon as they
conclude a three-game series with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Devil Rays' 10-game run ties the San Francisco Giants
for the longest in the major leagues this season.

Tampa Bay's streak back to May 19 when it was  10-28 and
manager Lou Piniella questioned his team's intensity following
a 4-1 home loss to the Boston Red Sox.  Since that defeat, Tampa
Bay has gone 21-6 with 14 come-from-behind wins.

The Devil Rays have scored 153 runs and are hitting .283 in that
span. Prior to this tear, they had scored just 136 runs through
their first 38 contests.

In Saturday's 11-4 rout, Tampa Bay overcame an early 3-0 deficit
and scored seven runs in the second inning. Tino Martinez
sparked the inning with a two-run home run and drove in five
runs.

Shea Hillenbrand knocked in two runs for Arizona, which lost for
the fourth time in five games.
