------------------------------------------------------------
JERSEY CITY, N.J., June 14 -- SportsTicker(R), one of the
leading suppliers of real-time sports news and information, has
reached an agreement in principle with NHL(R) Interactive
CyberEnterprises, a joint venture between the National Hockey
League and IBM, to commercially distribute statistical output
from the NHL ICE(TM) Real Time Scoring System (RTSS). This
agreement, effective as of June 8, will continue through the end
of the 2000-01 NHL Regular Season.
Currently, SportsTicker is responsible for the distribution of
RTSS-generated statistics to ESPN.com for production of NHL
GameCast, a "real time" textual, graphical, and statistical
depiction of all NHL Stanley Cup(R) Finals games. At the start
of the 1999-2000 NHL Regular Season in October, SportsTicker
will continue to feed statistics from the Real Time Scoring
System to NHL GameCast, as well as to Internet customers
worldwide.
"NHL ICE has managed to create an incredible and dynamic service
which will change the way the game of hockey is viewed from a
statistical standpoint. We are thrilled to have been selected
as a primary distributor for this service," said Rick
Alessandri, vice president and general manager, SportsTicker.
SportsTicker, also a licensee of the NBA and NFL's real-time
datafeeds, is the only wire service able to offer "official"
play-by-play data for the NBA, NFL and NHL. SportsTicker also
delivers its own MLB play-by play datafeed.
"We are extremely pleased to join forces with the leader in
Internet statistical distribution," said Toni Richardson,
general manager of NHL ICE. "SportsTicker's expansive list of
subscribers will bring much valued statistical information to
hockey fans worldwide."

production of 11 hockey-related Web sites including NHL.com, the
official Web site of the National Hockey League, which features
up-to-the-minute news and scores, statistics, a GameRoom and the
official NHL merchandise store. NHL ICE is also charged with
implementing the Real Time Scoring System, licensing video games
for the PC platform, and exploring other interactive
opportunities on behalf of the NHL.
