KINCARDINE, Ont. — She’s been the face of Christian Dior, Dolce and Gabbana and DKNY — now Jessica Stam will use her famous face to promote her hometown.

The supermodel is working with Kincardine Tourism to promote the Ontario tourist destination.

Community Services co-ordinator Steve Murray said the agreement was made several months ago, when Stam was home for her brother’s birthday.

“She’s very proud of her hometown and very eager to help us out,” said Murray of Stam, who will not be accepting payment for her contributions.

Some of the initiatives being considered are giveaways through the Kincardine Tourism Facebook page and circulation of a list of Stam’s favourite restaurants and tourist spots in Kincardine.

“The whole lakeside downtown is going to benefit,” Murray said.

Kincardine is located on the shore of Lake Huron and is a popular summer spot.
