Daniel Day-Lewis as President Abraham Lincoln.

With Steven Spielberg's Lincoln now playing in theatres, Virginia has launched a self-guided Lincoln Movie Trail and interactive website.

The movie -- starring Daniel Day-Lewis -- was filmed entirely in Virginia and the new movie trail points fans and history buffs to film locations. Guided Lincoln walks and Segway and trolley tours are also offered.

Notable locations that are open for visitors include the Virginia State Capitol, Maymont, the Virginia Executive Mansion, historic downtown Petersburg, Empire Theater and other places in Richmond and Petersburg, as well as restaurants, bars and shops frequented by the stars and crew (Arcadia, Brickhouse Run and Bistro Bobette). Participating sites are marked with a "Lincoln was here" graphic.

For details about location sites , an interactive trail map and Lincoln travel packages, visit Virginia.org/LINCOLN, where you will also find an online trip planner.
