France welcomes another edition of its annual international contemporary art fair, FIAC, that extends along the banks of its river Seine, while the New York Met prepares a nine-painting retrospective on Spanish Renaissance artist El Greco.

Foire Internationale d'Art Contemporain
October 23-26
Grand Palais, Paris, France

The capital's annual art festival, with exhibitors from France and around the world, may be centered on the glass-roofed Grand Palais, but it nonetheless spills out into public gardens, onto the Seine's banks, and through the prestigious Place Vendome, with the Prix Marcel Duchamp award one of its pinnacle events.
