There are lots of great places to visit in B.C.
In Yoho National Park, between Lake Louise and Golden, B.C., you'll want to check out Takakkaw Falls, which lies about 20 km off the Trans-Canada.
It's a frothy rush of water that flows from the Daly Glacier before tumbling from a high overhead cliff, becoming especially impressive in late spring, when run-off is heaviest.
---
Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in Golden has gondolas that will carry you up hundreds of feet, providing excellent bird's-eye-views of the landscape below.
Once you're at the top, stop into Eagle Eye Restaurant to enjoy a meal while taking in more of the fantastic view.
---
At Glacier National Park, you'll see some of the remnants of great glaciers that once stretched over much of North America.
You can admire these in passing, or stop into the well-run information centre at the summit of Roger's Pass, where there is plenty of convenient parking space.
---
At Mount Revelstoke, you'll have an opportunity to drive to heights normally accessible only by extensive hiking, to take in the beauty of Revelstoke's alpine meadows.
If you're lucky enough to pass through during the time of the summer bloom -- usually mid to late July -- you'll see a frenzy of vibrant colour as alpine meadow flowers enjoy their brief time to shine.
There is a wheelchair-accessible walking path through part of the meadows, making it easy to stroll and take in the scenery.

Shuswap Lakes is a popular summer vacationing spot, known for its waterside, cottage-style living and the many houseboats that dot its waters in good weather. The area is quite family-friendly, as well.
