The latest ski-in, ski-out activity at British Columbia's Silver Star Mountain Resort is ... 10-pin bowling.

Located in the village at FireLight lodge, Pinheads Bowling Alley has four hi-tech lanes with touch-screen scoring pads and bumper rails for little bowlers, light displays and an enormous TV screen. Three lanes can be reserved, the fourth is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Also new this season:

-- Rockstar Park -- the resort's ski and snowboard terrain park -- has been expanded to 8.25 hectares.

-- An all inclusive day or season ski pass. In addition to downhill skiing, the My1Pass includes Nordic skiing, Tube Town Adventure Park, Brewer's Skating Pond and access to 16-km of snowshoeing trails.

-- Interactive LCD screens with Internet access in the booths at Final Run Bar and Bistro.

-- A Dual Area Cross Country Trail Pass that allows skiers to access trails at Silver Star and neighbouring Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre.

-- A Ladies Only Nordic and Spa Retreat with cross-country instruction, spa treatments and a cooking class.
