Is your first name Bill or any variation thereof? William, Willy, Will, Billy or even Guillermo? In a cheeky marketing move, budget airline JetBlue is playing off the government shutdown in the US with a new promotion that will keep 'Bills' moving in and out of Washington D.C. quickly.

Flyers out of D.C. airports who can present official travel documents like a passport or driver's license bearing a variation of the name 'Bill' will be offered a free priority "Even More Speed" pass that allows flyers to move through the security line faster.

Even More Speed customers will be given access to expedited queuing lanes to take the stress out of slow-moving lines and tight departure times.

The promotion runs until October 31.

It's not the first time a US airline has hitched a marketing campaign to a major domestic crisis or scandal.

Spirit Airlines stoked the fire this summer when the carrier used the sexting scandal involving disgraced New York mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner to launch a discount on tickets to Mexico.

Presumably poking fun at his sexting pseudonym "Carlos Danger," the airline launched a promotional package called "The Weiner Rises Again" illustrated by a mustachioed hot dog in a condom-cape holding an iPhone.
