Michelin inspectors have added six more restaurants to the two-starred category in the Tokyo area, including a restaurant that serves up Korean cuisine.
In the seventh edition of the Michelin guide for Tokyo Yokohama Shonan the new additions bring the two-starred restaurant count to 59.
Inspectors also inducted 15 new eateries with their first Michelin star. The 2014 edition counts 14 three-starred restaurants.
For the first time, the guide also includes a Bib Gourmand section featuring 157 restaurants which serve "good cooking at reasonable prices," defined as a lunch or dinner for 5,000 Yen (around $50 USD).
Here are the new two-starred restaurants:
- Yunke, Korean cuisine
- Dominique Bouchet, French
- Goryukubo, Japanese
- Taku-tei, Japanese
- Uchitsu, Tempura
- Sant Pau, Spanish contemporary
