On October 6, the luxury hotel in Monaco will close to the public to undergo an extensive renovation and expansion. After two months of preparatory work, the hotel will re-open with a limited capacity for the 2014-2015 Christmas and New Year's holidays. The hotel's complete re-opening is scheduled for September 2018.

The iconic Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, located on the Place du Casino in Monaco, is on the verge of undergoing a makeover. The hotel, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, will under go no less than four years of renovation and construction.

Every part of the historic hotel will be affected by the renovation. While the rooms and suites will be expanded, the most interesting changes in the renovation plan will take place on the roof. A new spa and fitness area, a new swimming pool and a number of high-end suites will be built atop the hotel, along with a small villa complete with its own private garden and pool. Another highlight of the planned renovation is the creation of a multi-level interior courtyard and garden.

While the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo will be entirely closed to the public from October 6 to mid-December, it will re-open partially for the winter holidays (through January 18, 2015).

The grand re-opening of the new and improved hotel is scheduled for September 2018.
