Canadians can see more of their home and native land without leaving the comfort of their couch after 50 new destinations were added to Google Maps.
Google has partnered with Parks Canada to make panoramic imagery available on Google Street View. People can now virtually hike through Alberta's Jasper National Park and Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump National Park, as well as Point Pelee National Park in Ontario.
Other famous spots made available as of Tuesday include the Calgary Zoo, Massey Hall in Toronto, the Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver, the Maid of the Mist in Niagara Falls, Ont., and the Canada Aviation and Space Museum in Ottawa.
The new images allow "Canadians and people from around the world" to "take in more of this country's natural beauty," Google said in a blog post.
