A man at Boston Logan International Airport on Saturday took off his clothes in a womens' restroom and later ran out and assaulted an 84-year-old man, police said.
The bizarre incident began when Cameron Shenk, 26, went to the restroom in Terminal C, disrobed and for some unknown reason climbed into the drop ceiling, Massachusetts State Police said in a statement.
Shenk then fell through the ceiling, cutting his head and body, and ran out naked and bleeding, police said. They said Shenk attacked the 84-year-old man, who was hospitalized with serious but not life threatening injuries.
Shenk slightly hurt an officer during his arrest, police said.
Shenk also was admitted to the hospital and after receiving treatment, he was expected to be booked into jail on charges that include attempted murder, mayhem, assaulting a person over 60, assaulting an officer and lewd conduct.
Police did not say if drugs or alcohol might have played a role in the incident.
Earlier on Saturday, state troopers responded to a woman screaming inside a BMW car with a broken windshield outside Terminal B at Logan Airport, police said.
The troopers learned the driver, Anton Hilton, 52, had attacked the woman passenger and they arrested him for assault and battery and kidnapping, police said. The woman refused medical treatment.
