A press photographer has collected the photos she took over the course of a year of commutes on the New York subway and edited them into a video, which quickly went viral.
Videographer Rebecca Davis, who has worked for the New York Daily News, collected around 3,300 pictures -- largely taken with her iPhone -- of commuters on the New York subway throughout 2012.
Davis, who is now a multimedia editor at Today.com, originally collected these images together on a Tumblr blog called "Commuters."
Recently Davis decided to collect these photos together in the form of a video titled "Commuters: 2012" with a soundtrack of "Brains" from Lower Dens. The video, like the Tumblr, showcases people's most intimate, vulnerable and least self-aware moments providing a fascinating snapshot of people's lives and time on the subway.
The video has become a viral sensation, being featured in numerous news outlets including the New York Times and The Atlantic.
