Universal Orlando has announced that the latest addition to its Harry Potter theme park will open July 8.
Diagon Alley, the cobblestoned village where witches and wizards shop for provisions like wands, telescopes and magnifying glasses, will open next month after much fanfare.
One of the most highly anticipated attractions is the multi-sensory thrill ride 'Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts,' which simulates the dramatic escape from the vaults of the Gringotts Wizarding Bank with 360-degree-themed sets, high-definition animation and projection systems.
Riders will be able to shuttle between Hogsmeade at the existing Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal's Island of Adventure and Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida on the Hogwarts Express train.
Later this summer Osaka, Japan will also be getting its own Wizarding World of Harry Potter, while Universal Studios Hollywood is also slated to open a Potter-themed park in 2016.
