Rick Amsbury lived his life as a friendly ambassador for fishing, hunting and conservation of fish and wildlife. He never missed a chance to take folks fishing - people of any age, background or ability. His great sense of humor and remarkable ability to make friends from North Bay to North Carolina made him a natural at teaching people to fish. Rick was an effective advocate for the environmentally sustainable and responsible use of natural resources and he made it a point to explain that anglers and hunters do more for fish and wildlife conservation than all other groups combined. He believed that fishing opened a unique ‘door’ within each of us, leading to a personal appreciation for the outdoors and to improved mental and physical health. This book was one way Rick shared his special talents with anyone who wants to learn to fish.
