Oh look at who's come out to play. Evans is feeling all frisky after that huge Laff win the other night. Look for him to crawl back into his hole after tonight, not to be heard from again until the Laffs play the Islanders. What a jack off!

Looks like Price is a team player who knows that his teammate is playing better hockey right now.

Hey evans, tell me how much Price is paid to ride the pine and how much we are paying Toskala to ride the pine?

All last year Toskala said that he thgought that he was playing "well". Can you provide us with his stats?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Fleeced again?

The following from Eklund:

Normally, when rumors about a player who is considered as lynchpin as Carey Price surface I completely ignore them unless they are coming from a source I trust. Halak is a perfect backup. Perfect backups can sometimes look like starters, but if you make them the starter you may soon see that they are indeed a solid backup.

Think of the long-time backups that have gone on to star in the NHL. Short term...yes. Win a Stanley Cup? Not often. I am sure that I am missing some but the last backup that comes to mind with me was Andy Moog. I suppose you could say the Dom Hasek was a backup for a spell...Craig Anderson of course is showing success currently...

Anyway, back to the Habs...I received word this morning that I "shouldn't be ignoring these rumors this time, and that what people don't realize is that the Canadiens aren't doing this to make Halak the starter. The Habs aren't selling when it comes to Price...they are buying. If the deal I heard does go down, the fans in Montreal will have another goalie that they will love."

nice try Evans............Rubes and I have said for two years that job is up for grabs........as stated on here agin at the beginning of the season. I watched Halak tear up the AHL and lead in every stat possible. Having to great young goalies is like having two great quarter backs...a win win....they push each other, get breaks and when it comes time to trade one you get a good return. Not everybody is stupid enough to put in Tobasco give him 4 million and sign Cujo as the back up.

btw..........what is the leafs no 1 goalie doing making 4 million a year and stinking the joint out.........the goalie you said was gonna take the leafs to the promise land just last season. As a leaf fan I would leave the subject of goaltending alone............ya have not had a legitimate one since Belfour retired..........or a play-off game for that matter.

GO HABS

The Monster Pine

stopped 2 of 5 shots Saturday night......sp .400

"look for evans to crawl back into his hole and come out when the leafs play the islanders"......bang on poppa........but the Canes will be the game for larry......Islanders a far better team than the leafs.

Carey Pine...He's gone back to his own style of goalkeeping, and what works for him. Ya know, some doofus comes up with an interesting "theory" for goalies, and every goaltending coach has to jump on it. This time, it was the friggin' trapper arm tucked in and bent at the elbow, glove hand facing upwards and open. Whatdafak's with that? Don't try fixin' what wasn't broken! He was picked with a style and the talent that impressed the organisation. It's not like having to re-invent the wheel here. Work with him on improving on HIS style.

well said............Price will be fine......as he becomes a vetern those lapses will be farther and farther apart............and he will give his team a chance to win on a consistent basis. School of hard knocks in Habtown though.
