lol! Same here Bob. I rip the loafs....more so to leafers that have the gall to rip any team.
But while you are at it.
Leafers that are playing allright
Gustaffson
Mitchell
White
One Nut.....we'll see if he plays up to his billing.
the rest..........bunch of fillers no one else really wanted including Wilson........that won't get the team in the play-offs......again.
Habs that are playing allright
Camallerri
Metropolit
Gionta
Gomez
Gorges
Halak
Price
Moen
the rest either too slow and/or passengers.
team will make play-offs but not much more.
......but as I said in the post.........atleast they are not as bad as the Maple Leafs.

Camallerri is the one Montreal player I really like. That guy is a real Hockey player, has been playing full throttle since Game 1 and will probably be your captain before the season ends if they do select a captain.
The other guys you mentioned are fillers and over-priced under achievers. Check that... Metropolit looks like he has the makings. It's just that he's got such a stupid name. Was he conceived on a subway line or something?

lol !
Metroplit has been a nice surprise.....smart player that also works hard every night.
Obyrne and Markov are practically forgotten now.....but any 500 team would like to land an allstar D man and an up and comer like Obyrne...... the habs will be doing just that this month and in January. If your loafs can't catch them with out those guys.......they sure won't with them.
Latendresse ..... his best season was his first season??? Getting tired of Lappierres act.....all talk after whistles......but yet to see him with his gloves off. If you have no intentions on fighting....shut the heck up.
Mara has been allright.....considering he's being asked to play way more than he should and in situations he's not normally used in.
Your loafs Kommy and Beachamin.....ya got admitt Booby....big busts so far. White and Kabby are the loafs top 2.

The Beach guy is the one that has me puzzled. He doesn't seem to fit in at all. Kammy will be all right. He keeps it honest in front of the net. When he's good, he is very good. When he's not, he's very bad. He has to find a balance. Neither team has much chemistry right now and neither team has gelled.
White plays like how Ron Wilson played. Very good at handling the puck, good offensive skills but overly tentative when playing defence. Average forward, average defenceman but when combined in one player, a valuable commodity.
I think Toronto is better than their record indicates but they will still have to prove it. Their play in the own end scares me.

In his last 42 games .....Price is 10 wins 32 losses
decent young goalie playing behind a bad D?
team plays better with Halak in net?
Gainey has to put all his efforts into repairing the blue line.............and that means more than just waiting untill Markov gets back.

Leave the phuck Gainey outta this, for phack sakes!! He's done enough goddam damage to this team as it is!...Time for him to go destroy another one elsewhere with his zombie stonebark face. Gainey's sheiser...CACA!!...If Price should fail at turning into what he should be, there's only one pig-headed s.o.b. to blame...Robert Booblah Gainey!

Carey Price is as inconsistence as flying pigs stuck in trees. He can play so well one night and be a goat on another, Gainey sure have blew it when he drafted him 4 yrs ago. The Habs as a whole organization doesn't understand how to manufacture great goalies and were pretty brutal to the last superstar goalie that ever played for them. I can't see playing Price every night for the sake of playing so we can wait and watch Price become a superstar goalie in the NHL, which won't happen and I'll probably degraded him to be like all the other good but not great goalies that ever played for the Habs in the last 14 yrs. I don't see Price being in the Hall of Fame class like all the other great goalies that Habs had in the past and by trading him away the Habs will get nothing back now.

"His trade value is zero. At best, he's a throw in for a larger deal. The Habs have invested too much on this kid to just give him up for nothing.
The best thing they can do is send Price to the AHL. I'm not sure how the waiver thing would work with him but I doubt any team would even try to claim him. Bring in Sanford to back up Halak.
But that will not happen. Not until the Habs have a new GM at the healm. I said in 2007 they were rushing this kid. Now they are paying the price once again for not heading to the wisdom of the few learned Habs fans like moiself and Rubes."
"Yes and I routinely stated that Price was not ready as well....but shabby..stoner...and westy guaranteed he was...suddenly those same voices are very quiet on this."
The first post is from Cgy, the second from Curling Boy. Trade value is zero eh. Thank goodness you and Rubes aren't the GM. You would have traded Price for Vesieva by now. He is still just a kid, and has shown incredible resilience the past few weeks. I am sure he will have more ups and downs in his career, but he has shown that he is a fighter and doesn't back down from a challenge. As for Ev, sorry, were you saying something stupid again?

Price playing great for last 7 games. First star 5 of the 7. Let in more than 2 only once...where he let in 3. Carrying the team through major injuries to top D and top forwards.
Like west said "gotta hand it to the kid"
great future ahead...........WITH the Habs.

Ram..........can we have the complete statistical report on Price and Gustafson that was requested. If you don't mind. After all the bragging you do about your research compared to others....Stoner thought he's ask you I guess. Also, you are probabaly the only leafer on here that won't pretend he never saw the question.

ok Ram.........correct me if I'm wrong.
Prices stats are far better that Gustafsons........and rightly so. The Monster is new in the league and getting used to the game. Also, kid was snowballed by BB I'm sure. He probably fed the kid all that bs that he fed the fans of Toronto in the OFF SEASON.... about how great this truculent team is and how he always spends his money on the blueline... blah, blah, blah. But Evans did start the thread Price vs Gustafson after all.........so I'll say that Gustafsons sp is about .880 and Price is about .910................as of late .945
correct me if I'm wrong.
oh...and the leafs are in 30th place I think.
off topic...............I hear the leafs D is playing alot better without Kommy than they were with him......funny, same thing in Montreal.

Far better? Gustavsson is at .900. Price a whole .011 pts higher right now.
.945? Not even close.
Some more stats. Price at a .441 points percentage. Gustavsson at a .500 pts pct.
"oh...and the leafs are in 30th place I think. "
Nope. Wrong again.
"correct me if I'm wrong. "
You have been corrected. Consider yourself now further educated.
End summary - Price and Gustavsson are pretty darn close in stats and performance this year. THe only difference is one is in his first ever year in the NHL, and the other in his 3rd.

And suddenly there is silence. Facts tend to do that with Shabby. The fact remains that when Price is in net the stats show that Montreal averages less than a point in the standings. When Gus is in goal the Leafs average 1 point in the standings. Right now there is very little difference between the 2 goalies.
Bottom line is that if the playoffs were to start today; neither team would be playing.

I strongly beg to differ here. There is a huge difference between Price and Gusty Goosey right now. Price had a couple of very bad games that made his stat drop like a lead ballon. In no other farkin' way is Guster Gooser anywhere near Price, goaltending-wise. I'm sorry but you can dream on all that you wish, and plant these stats that deceive the actual reality under my nose, but there's no way the Swede is better or even near Price. Not at this point anyways.

Interesting. So how come if you think they are close in stats and performance this year, that you Leafers think that Price sucks, is done as a big league goalie, and the Habs made a mistake drafting him, yet you think Herman is having a fine year and will be a fine goalie. When you just said they are close in stats. And even though Price is three years younger than Herman and potentially has more upside.
