Oh I see..suddenly Price is the undisputed starter...well this week anyways...a couple of weeks ago hab fans were calling for him to be traded or to give Halak the starting job because Price didn't deserve it....Price was up to his old tricks in Pittsburgh...Crosby shot high glove side and what do ya know...the other goals were a little odourous as well...slow dribblers thru the five hole....the more things change..the more they stay the same with Price..
Funny hearing Westy change his tune on Tim Thomas....westy was telling us all that Thomas was the best goalie in the world last year...now he's telling us that he is platooning with a rookie....no contradiction there....and yes westy Ram was right....Thomas broke his hand...thats why Rask was playing...you really should do your homework before you post...it would cut down on you looking like a dumba$$!!HAAAAAAAAAA!!

Tell us loofer, the exploits of your loofs' goaltending trio...As I said earlier, we are just fans, not g-m. We do not control the team's business. Price is now playing like the Price that got him picked 5th overall during his draft year. Price is playing like the goalie that's won a couple of World Golds for Canada. You could at least pick instances that don't involve a top elite players like Crosby who could undress any NHL goalies at the whim of his shot.
Loofs must've won a game last night. The Stooge Virus is out!

and Gusatfson gave up his regular 4 goals again last night.
long as the loafs can score 5 or more a night they just might put 2 wins together again.....they have done that once this year have they not?

No! No! No!...Habby...It's The "Great" Gusty Gustavsson!!!...Monsteritus Svedish Elitium et Emiritus!...Just enough for the NHL, but not enough to be just a "wittle" bit good in the NHL. That is how they like 'em in Gayronto! Man, when gayness starts getting associated more and more with Canada's Big Crab Apple (Toronto)...I would think that it's time to get out of Dodge. A tough(to watch) NHL team that supports gayness and all it's effeminate annoying characteristics (cross-dressing-tranvestitism)...BB Gunner needs some PR guys to explain to him when it is good, and when it is not good to get media attention for his regular weekly 15 minutes of fame. What a farkin' fart bag of hot air!

Price and the Canadiens lose another one and quietly slip into 12th place all alone. The Habs have a winning record when Halak is in the nets. They have a losing record when Price is in goal. There is a serious dis-connect with Price groupies. According to them he is playing great but still manages to find a way to lose.

8 points outta the last 12 for Price.
"habs have a losing record with Price....winning record with Halak.........seriois discontent with the Price groupies".
leafs have a losing record with all their goalies........and have for years.
leaf groupies think they are great.

Right now Price is not coming out and use the angles properly and is staying too far in the net.
He is also letting in soft goals because he is no playing the angles but then makes big stops when he comes out or has a clear view and its not on his stick side.
He also shows his lack of maturity constantly giving away the puck with passes and not letting his blue liners handle the puck.
Gainey is going to go with him. I prefer Halak and would keep them both but Gainey has made up his mind to go with Price and use Halak as a back up. I say they both should be playing 50-50.

Holy Phack! Rubes!!!...Have you missed on your Prosak again this morning. Price has been playing somne excellent goaltending, making the key-saves to keep his team in the game. Where you get these technical goaltending flaws is behond me. Maybe you ought to go see Jacques and Bob for the goaltending Meister Teacher and coaching job. You do not belong on SLAMSports wasting away writing moody grey postings. YOU'S THE GOALTENDERS' MEISTER!!!...and bobody's nerfect like you are. Best not forget about it, are we!

I'll stick with my original post:
At best, he's a throw in for a larger deal.
Look, nobody is denying this kid has talent. We've seen it in Montreal and at every level he has played.
But at the end of the day, he is not showing the type of consistency needed to keep him as the #1 guy.
Price has won games for Montreal on numerous occations this season but he still has the tendency to give up those gut-wrenching, momentum-killing softie goals.
Reports say that 29 GM's are intrested in acquiring Price. That's great. Too bad the report does not spell out what each team wants to pay for him. I doubt that any GM would offer more than a 3rd round pick for Price if it were a straight up trade. There are just too many question marks to justify any more of a compensation than that.
Bottom line is that both goalies are RFA's at the end of this season and one of them has got to go.
Price will fetch more if included as part of a larger deal. If Gainey can't pull that off, he might just be better off holding on to him and then getting some sort of RFA compensation.
I mean, hell, if all 29 GM's want Price so bad, does it not stand to reason that 2 will get into a bidding war for him and net the Habs some higher compensation.
Because we all know these type of media reports are always 100% accurate, right.

29 GM's eh?? Do you guys really believe this stuff??
Pittsburghs interested are they?? Buffalo interested too eh?? I suppose Boston is interested? actually I'm quite sure there's quite a few teams out there who aren't really in the market for an over hyped under achieving goalie...get real...your lucky if theres 3-4 teams with serious interest in Price.

Um, No. Hence my statement below:
"Because we all know these type of media reports are always 100% accurate, right."
You should take your own advice and read.
Then again, I also don't put a lot of stock in your reports either like:
Stamkos, Carter and Malone are all going to the Leafs
Toskala is starter material
Leafs will make the playoffs in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
Leafs have the best D in the east
Bell will be a difference maker
I could go on but you get the point.
