U.S. gains third behind South Koreans
 SYDNEY (AP) -- After setting an Olympic record that was broken less than an hour later, the U.S. team was nearly perfect in a shoot-off to gain the bronze medal in men's archery Friday.
 Paced by individual silver medalist Vic Wunderle of Mason City, Iowa, and Atlanta gold medalists Butch Johnson of Woodstock, Conn., and Rod White of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, the United States beat Russia 29-26 in the overtime round. Both teams tied 239 through nine rounds.

South Koreans romp to team title
 SYDNEY (AP) -- After sweeping the individual medals, three South Korean women joined to easily win the team archery gold for the fourth consecutive Olympics on Thursday (Wedneday night EDT), setting another world record.
 Yun Mi-jin, Kim Soo-nyung and Kim Nam-soon first scored an Olympic record 252 in the quarterfinals against the United States trio of Janet Dykman of El Monte, Calif., Denise Parker of Salt Lake City, and Karen Scavotto, Enfield, Conn. The United States scored 240.

Wunderle loses to Australian in final
 SYDNEY, Australia (AP) -- Now Vic Wunderle doesn't feel left out when talking about Olympic medals with his teammates.
 "Coming into this, I was the only one of us that didn't have an Olympic medal," said Wunderle, of Chula Vista, Calif.
