Julie Beaulieu qualified for the Olympic team by finishing second at the
trials in July. It was a remarkable performance for the high school
student who had sprained her left ankle two weeks earlier. She had only
resumed training less than a week before the trials.

around gymnastics crown. She nearly quit gymnastics three years ago
