Guard Greg Francis averaged 20.3 points per game and shot 54 percent from
the field for Chester in his return to the British Basketball League this
past season. He played pro in Lebanon in 1998-99. During the 1997-98
season with the Worthing Bears in England he averaged 22 points a game.
He graduated from Fairfield University in 1997, the same year he won the
MAAC conference and qualified for the NCAA tournament. He almost
single-handedly upset the North Carolina TarHeels in the first round of the
tournament notching 26 points including eight three-pointers.
