Power forward Peter Guarasci is one of several Canadian team members who
played overseas last season. He averaged 10.5 points per game with the
Frankfurt Skyliners club in Germany. He played the previous three seasons
with the Scavolini Pesaro club in Italy. He was invited to the Vancouver
Grizzlies free agent camp in the summer of 1996.
The Simon Fraser University business graduate was the MVP of the Jones Cup
for Team Canada in 1996. At SFU he was 1996 NAIA Conference player of
the year and was selected to the All-Rookie team at Fairfield University in
1992-93. He has played over 50 international matches for Canada.

Sept. 21: Men: Canada def. Spain 91-77, lifting record to 3-0 and advancing to quarter-finals. Sept. 19: Men: Canada def. Angola 99-54, raising record to 2-0 in Pool B. Sept. 17: Canada def. Australia 101-90 in first preliminary round game.
