Since winning her first Canadian title at age 14, Blythe Hartley has been
touted as one Canada's great prospects in diving. Last season she
displayed her considerable skill at both the senior and junior level. At
the world juniors she won three medals, two gold and a silver, the finest
Canadian performance ever. Then at the Pan Am Games she took silver on
10-metre and bronze on three-metre. She moved to Calgary last season to
train under former Chinese World Cup champion Hui Tong who has developed
Eryn Bulmer into one of the world's best. Through her career, Hartley's
collected 16 international medals. Her father was a member of Canada's
1972 Olympic bobsleigh team.
