Josee Marsolais was one of two goaltenders selected to the women's water
polo team along with Isabelle Auger. Both are long time national team
members and the battle for the number-one position is expected to be tough.
"I take nothing for granted," said Marsolais. "I'll have to work very
hard to get the starting job. Until I'm in the water in Sydney nothing is
assured."
Marsolais played professionally in Italy in 1998 and was a member of both
the 1999 FINA Cup Olympic qualifying team and the 1999 Pan Am Games gold
medal team. She's collected numerous national titles and awards with
Montreal's CAMO Club. She has a bachelors degree in biology and is eyeing a
master's degree in sport psychology.
