Forward Andrew Mavis averaged 13.3 points per game and shot 45 percent from
the three-point line with the Newcastle Eagles in 1999-2000. He played his
first season as a professional with the Chester Jets in 1998-99 and
averaged 14 points and five rebounds per game.
In university he was at Northern Arizona University and won back-to-back
Big Sky Championships and was the conference's player of the year. He had
a great Pan Am Games tournament averaging nearly 10 points per game and
also helped Canada at he Olympic qualifier.
