Big Irishman finds pot of gold

 Hollywood scriptwriters would probably call it The Way The Half-Century War Was Won.
 Patrick Quinn, head coach of the gold-medal-winning Team Canada men's hockey squad at the Salt Lake City Olympics simply referred to it as 'Mission Possible' for a group of superbly talented and dedicated shinny warriors.

NHL participation looks good for 2006
 WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) -- The United States couldn't repeat 1980. Canada finally put 1952 to rest.
 But after the success of the Salt Lake City Olympic hockey tournament, it is the 2006 Games that could benefit the most.
 The riveting tournament featured a dream finale (at least for North Americans) between Canada and the United States and one of the biggest upsets in Olympic history.
 So, how can the NHL say no to the 2006 Olympics?

Edmonton ice maker snuck loonie into centre ice
 EDMONTON (CP) -- Trent Evans returned from the Winter Olympics a dollar short, but proud that he embedded a lucky loonie at centre ice at the E-Center.
 Both the Canadian women's and men's hockey teams successfully skated to gold over top of that loonie.
